Art Deco Abstract Earrings | Original Clarice Cliff Pottery | Two options | Sterling Silver

Unique Art Deco abstract earrings made from original fragments of upcycled Clarice Cliff ceramics which have been set in sterling silver.

These small fragments of Clarice Cliff pottery were collected by a worker at the Potteries as she walked to work past Newport Pottery in Stoke-on-Trent in the 1930s. Each day, she would walk past piles of rejected pottery on the banks of the Trent and Mersey canal, collecting the shards and eventually passing them on to a relative.

We were delighted when we were contacted by the relative, who offered them to us, and naturally we jumped at the chance. They have been carefully crafted to remain as close to the original shapes as possible, and encased in sterling silver to make these stunning items of jewellery.

There are three styles to choose from at this size, all with an abstract shape using Clarice Cliff’s famous Crocus design, and the curvature of the plate is also visible on some pieces.

The back of the Art Deco earrings are solid sterling silver, the underside of the ceramic plate isn't exposed.
