Zoe and Louise, the team at Hepburn & Hughes
Welcome to Hepburn & Hughes. We are Zoe and Louise, founders of this small family-run business based in Kent and Derbyshire. We inherited some amazing jewellery stock from our father/father-in-law Kelvin, who launched a similar business in 2004, building a range of unique cufflinks and jewellery that celebrates the wonders of the natural world as well as some of the best products made by humans.
Hepburn & Hughes was set up in 2018, using Kelvin’s existing jewellery items as we built up our new jewellery business and established a loyal customer base, in a way that works around our families.
We spend hours scouring the internet and rifling through antique shops, to source unique products that can be upcycled to create the most unusual cufflinks and jewellery. These make the perfect gifts for men and women.
Our signature range of cufflinks uses parts of reclaimed Spitfire fuselage, fragments of the Berlin Wall, broken or damaged Clarice Cliff and Minton Willow Pattern plates, as well as copper and oak from HMS Victory salvaged during her restoration. We also make stunning and unusual jewellery using ancient fossils and gemstones found all over the world. We work with a talented silversmith to carefully shape the products before enveloping them in highly polished 925 sterling silver.
Every order is carefully polished and packaged by hand by Louise or Zoe in high quality, stylish branded packaging, keeping our use of plastic to a minimum, and we are constantly looking for new ways to make our business more sustainable.
Many products are supplied with certificates of authenticity or provenance, providing customers with peace of mind that they are purchasing genuine articles.
