Originating from Arita, Japan, this pottery was exported worldwide and has long been sought after for its masterful bird and flower motifs.

Imari ware was highly coveted and mass produced for the European market during the 17th and 18th centuries, with its production beginning in the early 17th century. It is still in production to this day.
