Art Deco Oval Pendant | Original Clarice Cliff Pottery | Two options | Sterling Silver

Unique Art Deco oval necklace made from original fragments of upcycled Clarice Cliff ceramics which have been set in sterling silver.

These small fragments of Clarice Cliff pottery were collected by a worker at the Potteries as she walked to work past Newport Pottery in Stoke-on-Trent in the 1930s. Each day, she would walk past piles of rejected pottery on the banks of the Trent and Mersey canal, collecting the shards and eventually passing them on to a relative.

We were delighted when we were contacted by the relative and were able to buy the fragments. They have been carefully crafted to remain as close to the original shapes as possible, and encased in sterling silver to make these stunning items of jewellery.

There are two sizes of the oval designs available using the famous Crocus design, one of which demonstrates the curvature of the plate. 

• Large: 30mm x 20mm
• Small: 15mm x 10mm

The back of the Art Deco pendants are solid sterling silver, the underside of the ceramic plate isn't exposed.
