An exquisite pair of Japanese Imari Earrings, expertly crafted from hallmarked 925 sterling silver and featuring a solid silver back.

These stunning earrings are created from a damaged Japanese Imari plate, renowned for its intricate bird and floral designs in vibrant colours.

This antique porcelain was originally crafted in Arita, Japan and exported worldwide, with a large amount of blue applied in an underglaze and additional red, gold, and other colors added.

Imari ware was specifically produced for the European market and was shipped from the port it was named after. Its production began in the early 17th century and was widely distributed throughout the 17th and 18th centuries. It is still produced to this day.
