How we have protected the delicate iron surface:

The delicate nature of the Muonionalusta meteorite means it has a natural tendency to oxidise (rust) due to its high iron content. To prevent this, a specialised 3-micron white gold coating has been applied to the surface, creating a protective barrier that preserves the 'Space Grey' lustre.

How to care for your meteorite jewellery:

Whilst we have taken special care to protect the surface we advise that you prevent your special Muonionalusta jewellery from being immersed in water for long periods of time, or let it come in contact with any lotions and perfumes. Full care instructions are included in your purchase.

The rare Swedish Muonionalusta meteorite creates beautiful and unique jewellery.

Discovered by boys playing football in Sweden in 1906, the meteorite landed on Earth between 120,000 and 800,000 years ago.

The meteorite itself is estimated to be at least 2 billion years old - so you really would be wearing something from outer space.
