Frequently Asked Questions about the meteorite: 

Iron is susceptible to oxidisation - how do you prevent this? When we first sourced the Muonionalusta meteorite for this collection our biggest challenge was its natural tendency to oxidise (rust) due to its high iron content. To prevent this a specialised 3-micron white gold coating has been applied. This creates a protective barrier that preserves the 'Space Grey' lustre.

The rare Swedish Muonionalusta meteorite creates beautiful and unique jewellery.

Landing on Earth between 120,000 and 800,000 years ago, the meteorite lay hidden for thousands of years before it was discovered by boys playing football.

The meteorite itself is estimated to be at least 2 billion years old - so you really would be wearing something from outer space.
