The back of the Art Deco earrings are solid sterling silver, the underside of the ceramic plate isn't exposed.

These small fragments of Clarice Cliff pottery were collected by a worker at the Potteries as she walked to work past Newport Pottery in Stoke-on-Trent in the 1930s.
She passed them on to a relative, who offered them to us.

They have been carefully crafted to remain as close to the original shapes as possible, and encased in sterling silver to make these stunning items of jewellery.
