About lapis lazuli

Lapis lazuli is a rock made of several minerals: lazurite gives the blue, calcite the white veins and pyrite the gold sparkle, so no two teardrops look alike. It was traded from Afghanistan to Egypt and Mesopotamia over 5,000 years ago and is linked to wisdom and self-expression.

How to wear it

The teardrop draws the eye down, so it works well with a V-neck or open shirt. On the 18" chain it sits just below the collarbone; on a longer chain it looks good over knitwear.
