Frequently Asked Questions about the meteorite: 

Iron is susceptible to oxidisation - how do you prevent this? When we first sourced the Muonionalusta meteorite for this collection our biggest challenge was its natural tendency to oxidise (rust) due to its high iron content. To prevent this we have applied a specialized 3-micron white gold coating. This creates a protective barrier that preserves the 'Space Grey' lustre.

How to care for your meteorite jewellery:  Avoid getting it wet, and always apply perfume and lotions before you put your jewellery on. Full care instructions are included in your purchase

The rare Swedish Muonionalusta meteorite creates beautiful and unique jewellery.

It is believed that it fell to earth between 120,000 and 800,000 years ago and was discovered in Sweden by two young children playing football, when they suddenly struck an extremely heavy and rusty-looking object.

The meteorite itself is estimated to be at least 2 billion years old – so you really would be wearing something from outer space.

All our meteorite products have a 3-micron coating of white gold to prevent any chance of oxidisation, and are set in 925 Sterling Silver.
