Some common questions we get about Muonionalusta Meteorite

• Meteorite is predominately iron - how do you prevent rusting? Iron is highly susceptible to oxidisation (rust), to ensure it's longevity we have applied a specialized 3-micron white gold coating. This creates a protective barrier.  
• How do we look after something so old? All our jewellery comes with a care sheet.  Our top advice is NOT to get the meteorite wet and avoid applying perfumes and lotions once you are wearing the jewellery. 
  
• What's included with the purchase?  A certificate of provenance, a gift card with Meteorite information on, an 18" chain, a care sheet and a silver polishing cloth

The rare Swedish Muonionalusta meteorite creates beautiful and unique jewellery.

Discovered in Sweden by two young children playing football, the meteorite landed on earth between 120,000 and 800,000 years ago.

The meteorite itself is estimated to be at least 2 billion years old.

All our meteorite products have a 3-micron coating of white gold to prevent any chance of oxidisation, and are set in 925 Sterling Silver.
