Troca shells are created from the discarded shells of giant sea snails. They have the scientific name trochidae and are conical or spherical in shape with varying heights.

A central section of the Troca shell has been cut and arranged in a fan shape, with black resin used to fill the chambers. The whole section is then honed and polished revealing a uniquely patterned and robust piece, finished in sterling silver.
