This particular pendant really makes a statement and looks lovely when worn on a long 30" chain.
Orthoceras fossils were ancient molluscs that lived more than 400 million years ago. They are ancestors to the modern day squid. Even though they were among the earliest forms of life, this class of nautiloid is still considered one of the most intelligent forms of ocean life. Their shells fell to the floor of the ocean when they died, where the shells were covered in sediment. Here they eventually became stone and are preserved in black limestone. Our authentic Orthoceras is sourced from Morocco.

Care Guide
In order to protect your Hepburn & Hughes jewellery and ensure that it always looks as good as new, we advise you to follow these steps.
- Use the cleaning cloth provided to clean and polish your silver. This lint-free cloth is chemically treated to improve the silver's lustre and shine and can be used for light, regular cleanings to remove tarnishing.
- Avoid contact with perfume, skin creams, hairspray and chlorine.
Gift Wrapping
Gift wrapping for all jewellery items is available for an additional charge of £4.50. This includes a Hepburn & Hughes gift bag and a hand-written message of your choice.
