Polish Flint is a member of the chalcedony family.

Polish flint originates from Poland, in an area called Ostrowiec Swietokrzyski and were only recently discovered in the 20th century.

It was formed in limestone in the Jurassic period some 160 million years ago and is different from ordinary flint due to its unique banding and layering within the stone - creating striking cabochons of this semiprecious gemstone.

Flint is said to lift spirits and emotional stability, as well as boosting self empowerment.
